Ethereal and alluring, Devanshi, our handloom Muthu Kattam Kanchi Silk Cotton Saree in a rich maroon hue, is a masterpiece of timeless grace. Crafted from pure silk and fine cotton, this exquisite weave drapes you in sheer elegance, offering the perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. The intricate checks add a touch of tradition, making it an effortless choice for occasions where you wish to exude poise and charm. A true testament to the artistry of Kanchipuram weaves, this saree is destined to be a treasured addition to your wardrobe.
Saree Body: The saree’s body exudes subtle elegance, adorned with intricate "Muthu Kattam checks" in luminous gold zari against a deep maroon backdrop. Delicate "Kamalam (lotus) buttas" bloom within the shimmering grids, their soft golden glow adding a touch of grace. The gentle interplay of texture and sheen creates a refined radiance, making every fold drape with effortless sophistication.
Saree Border: The regal 6.5 inch "Retta Pettu borders" on both ends are exquisitely adorned with "Rudraksham pett motifs" in shimmering gold zari, encased within delicate "muthu seer bands". These intricate Rudraksham bands are further elevated by the elegance of "Paneer Sombu motif anklets (A traditional ornamental sacred pitcher (Sombu), associated with ritualistic or divine offerings, making it an auspicious motif in saree weaving.) " on one side and a bold "red selvedge" on the other, infusing the saree with an opulent richness. Where the border meets the body, a deep forest green "Moplah section", adorned with delicate "muthu seer lines", in gold zari adds an extra layer of contrast and elegance. (This Moplah segment, known for its distinct deep hue, serves as a seamless transition between the border and body, amplifying the saree’s visual appeal and traditional charm.)
Saree Pallu: A breathtaking cascade of gold zari unfolds in this scintillating pallu, where artistry and tradition intertwine. The first resplendent band showcases majestic "winged gajayazhi motifs, delicate paisleys, and florals", each nestled within elegant "three-pointed arch frames". These arches, adorned with "Thazhamboo rekku" at their base and crowned by "twin Gandaberunda motifs", exude both regal grandeur and fierce beauty.
In the second band, an enchanting tableau of a "mother Deer and her fawn", gracefully meandering through lush "floral gardens", evokes elegance and tenderness. The divided field is meticulously crafted with "temple tower motifs", set against a mesmerizing diagonal weave, adding rhythm and depth to the composition. Every exquisite detail is enclosed within "Rudraksham butta pett, nestled in muthu seer", embodying divine charm. Finally, the entire pattern is framed by celestial "paneer sombu anklets", completing this woven symphony with an ethereal, timeless allure.
Saree Blouse: Completing this masterpiece is an unstitched silk cotton blouse in a rich maroon shade, perfectly harmonizing with the saree, adorned with a border akin to its woven splendor.

COTTON CARE
• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.
WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY
• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.
STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY
• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
