Sarangi - Handwoven Checks Kanjivaram Pure Silk Saree with High-Low borders (Authentic Pure Zari & Silk Mark Certified)
Embrace the timeless allure of Sarangi, an exquisitely handwoven Kanjivaram pure silk saree in a mesmerizing smoky topaz (dark shade of red-orange) hue. Crafted from the finest pure mulberry silk and pure zari, this saree seamlessly blends tradition with sophistication, making it the perfect choice for both corporate elegance and grand celebrations. Let every fold tell a story of tradition, elegance, and timeless beauty.
The Enchanting Udal (Saree Body): The body of the saree is adorned with a resplendent "checkered pattern in gold zari", creating a celestial charm. The rich smoky topaz base shimmers with intricate weaving, casting a regal glow with every drape. The elegance of this pattern enhances the saree’s grandeur, making it a true masterpiece of Kanchipuram craftsmanship.
The Majestic Karai (Saree Borders): Adding to its allure, the saree features a striking royal blue high-low borders (Unequal Borders: Refers to a difference in the size of the top and bottom borders, where one is broader than the other.), offering a captivating contrast. The top border measures 5-inches, while the bottom extends to a luxurious 10-inches, creating a dramatic yet harmonious balance. Woven in radiant gold zari, the borders are adorned with elaborate "Gandaberunda (Iruthalai Pakshi) motifs", a legendary two-headed bird symbolizing strength and protection. Alongside, the exquisite "GajaYazhi motifs", gracefully nestled in circles, narrate tales of wisdom and grandeur. This intricate half-repeat pattern, gleaming in gold, elevates the saree’s beauty, while the smoky topaz "selvedge" adds depth and brilliance to the overall design.
The Resplendent Mundhani / Thalaippu (Saree Pallu): The contrast royal blue pallu unfolds like a grand tapestry of tradition, richly woven with luminous gold zari. Designed with a series of recurrent bands, the medium band features horizontally aligned "peacock and elephant motifs", alternating with "banaras line pillars", creating a mesmerizing interplay of grace and majesty. The large band is adorned with "Annapakshi motifs", symbolizing purity and prosperity, while the divided field of the pallu blooms with intricate "floral patterns enclosed in diamond-shaped motifs", a poetic reflection of nature’s beauty. Encasing these elegant weaves, delicate "Pavunu motifs (coin buttas)" and "Kayaru butta lines" form a regal frame, flanked by exquisite "leaf anklet motifs", bringing a final touch of enchantment.
Saree Blouse: Completing this masterpiece is a plain, unstitched Kanchipuram silk blouse in Royal blue, offering a perfect opportunity to create a customized look that complements the saree’s magnificence.

COTTON CARE
• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.
WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY
• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.
STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY
• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
