Alluring and sophisticated, Brindavani, our handwoven Korvai big-border Kanchipuram pure silk saree, weaves together two distinct hues, olive green and magenta, in perfect harmony. Crafted from the finest pure mulberry silk and adorned with pure zari, this kanchi pattu radiates elegance and grandeur. A timeless treasure, Brindavani is an exquisite choice for grand occasions.

The Enchanting Udal (Saree Body):
The olive green saree body features delicate “Kasa Kasa Kattam (small checkered patterns)" woven from pure silk, exuding refined elegance. The shimmering gold zari “Chakram motifs,” gracefully holding the intricate “Ganda Berunda (Iruthalai Pakshi) motifs" in a half-repeat pattern, enhance its beauty, making the saree a vision of timeless allure.

The Majestic Karai (Saree Borders):
The exquisite 14-inch Korvai borders in rich magenta showcase a captivating blend of “Gaja Yazhi”, “Elephant” and “Ganda Berunda (Iruthalai Pakshi) motifs”, intricately woven within “square checks framed by Banaras lines” using fine silk thread. Adding to their allure, the edges are adorned with delicate “Thazhambu Rekku (Temple) motifs” and a striking “orange selvedge”, infusing this timeless drape with a divine and artistic elegance.

The Resplendent Mundhani / Thalaippu (Saree Pallu):
The deep magenta contrast border, adorned with shimmering gold Zari accents, radiates elegance and grandeur, making it truly worth the twirl. Horizontal bands showcase “elephant motifs with floral vines” and “Anna Pakshi motifs with twin chevrons”, creating a symphony of tradition and artistry. The pallu’s divided field is woven with vertically aligned columns, embellished with alternating “Benaras lines” and “Mayil Kann motifs”, adding depth and texture. These segments are “framed by Rudraksham pet bands and encased in rhythmic Thandavalam lines”, lending divine sophistication. Finally, “leaf anklets (Salangai)” gracefully flank the pattern, completing its breathtaking allure.

The Elegant Blouse:
Complementing the opulence of the saree is a plain magenta blouse with an orange selvedge, a minimalist yet elegant canvas that allows you to customize it to your personal style.

COTTON CARE

• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.

WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY

• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.

STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY

• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
