Kshithi - Handloom Kanchi Silk Cotton Saree with Zari Pallu and Corner Buttas
Drape yourself in the grandeur of Kshithi, a breathtaking handwoven Kanchi Silk Cotton saree, where tradition meets sophistication. A symphony of nutmeg red-orange and scorched brown iridescence, this masterpiece embodies grace, woven meticulously from pure silk and fine cotton, enriched with opulent gold metallic zari accents. Each drape of Kshithi whispers the legacy of Kanchipuram’s master weavers, celebrating their unmatched craftsmanship through intricate corner buttas and precise geometric weaves. Whether for grand celebrations or intimate soirées, this saree is a true heirloom, exuding timeless elegance with effortless beauty.
Saree Body: A vision of refined splendor, the body of Kshithi is adorned with vertically woven "Peacock motifs" in a mesmerizing half-repeat pattern. Woven in radiant gold zari, these motifs shimmer against the luminous iridescent backdrop, creating a delicate interplay of texture and sheen that enhances the saree’s fluid grace.
Saree Border: Traditional 5.5 inch "Gatti borders" frame this saree on both sides, resplendent with "Kuyil Kann motifs", gracefully enclosed within "Muthu Seer bands" in gold zari. The "selvedge", in deep desert sand hue tinged with rich red-orange, creates a striking contrast, amplifying the saree’s grandeur while harmonizing with its regal tones.
Saree Pallu: A breathtaking cascade of gold zari unfolds in this scintillating pallu, where artistry and tradition seamlessly intertwine. The highlight of the pallu is its exquisite "Interlocked Paisley Corner Buttas", woven at the intersection of the body and the pallu. These striking, corner buttas enclose intricate motifs, including "florals and peacock motifs", meticulously arranged at a captivating 45-degree angle, a true testament to masterful craftsmanship.
The pallu features a series of ornamental bands, each adding to its grandeur. One band showcases horizontally aligned, ornate "Elephant and Peacock motifs in a rhythmic Kodi Visiri pattern", while another is adorned with "Anna Pakshi motifs", gracefully divided by "chevron pillars", creating a mesmerizing visual effect. The divided field of the pallu is further embellished with "Kuyil Kann" motifs (diamond patterns without a central dot), enhancing its allure. Encasing all the bands are "Rudraksha butta bands", which, in turn, are enclosed by "Muthu Seer" lines, adding depth and grandeur to the design. Finally, the entire pattern is flanked by "Arai Podigi" (temple tower motifs), that lend a divine and mesmerizing touch to this exquisite creation.
Saree Blouse: Completing this luxurious ensemble is an unstitched silk cotton blouse in a matching nutmeg red-orange and scorched brown hue, echoing the saree’s elegance. The borders mirror the saree’s intricate weaves, ensuring a seamless, harmonious drape that radiates sophistication.
